200 Women Who Care Campaign

DSC_4856_resizedFitted for Work has always seen itself not only as a service to support women experiencing disadvantage, but also as a community of women supporting each other. Today, there is an unprecedented demand for our programs.  To ensure that Fitted for Work can continue to provide the same high-quality service to the increasing number of women who seek to use it, we invite you to join our 200 Women Who Care Campaign by donating $1,000.  You will be part of a circle of 200 like-minded women who understand the importance of work in developing a person’s sense of dignity and self-worth and, in particular, the vital role it plays in creating financial independence for women.

Since its beginnings in 2005, Fitted for Work through its range of services has assisted more than 10,000 women experiencing disadvantage to transform their lives by securing sustainable employment.  The one thing all of our clients have in common is that they want to work – and the women self-select to participate. This means the women are motivated to change their lives. And they do.  Today, 75% of women accessing Fitted for Work’s core services get work within three months Through entrepreneurship, innovation, good governance and enormous hard work, Fitted for Work has become widely recognised as an integral service and ‘go to’ place for issues of women and work.  Fitted for Work’s ability to deliver results has been recognised through both national and international awards for entrepreneurship and innovation, our latest award being the Schwab Foundation Global Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2012.

To ensure we reach our target of 200 Women Who Care, we are also asking you to access your networks and approach any of your friends and colleagues who may be in a position to help, and ask them to be part of this circle of 200 like-minded women who care.  Your generosity and that of your friends and colleagues will ensure that Fitted for Work will continue to thrive and grow in helping many more women step out of disadvantage and into work.
