Our history
Fitted for Work was inspired by Bottomless Closet in New York City and modelled on that and other similar services operating in the USA, Canada, England and New Zealand.

At the end of its first year, in July 2006, Fitted for Work was open two days per week, had 17 referring organisations and had worked with approximately 300 clients. As of August 2008, the Melbourne service is open 4 days per week and one evening a fortnight, has 150 referral sites and has now worked with over 2,200 women.

Mornington Peninsula opened it doors in 2007, and Sydney will begin operations early in 2010.
