Mornington Peninsula
Planning for Fitted for Work on the Mornington Peninsula began in March 2007, when an initial group of six volunteers formed the Mornington Peninsula Committee. This Committee created a network of supporters in the area, recruited prospective volunteers and raised funds. The Fitted for Work service and boutique will open officially in Rosebud on November 15th 2007 and will be available to clients from as far north as Frankston, south to Portsea and east to Hastings. There has been strong interest and support from local businesses, other not for profit organisations and the local community. Boutique fittings have been donated by Blue Illusion and Color Your Blues, and Rotary has helped out with boutique furniture. Fundraising activities include a fashion parade sponsored by Blue Illusion, a corporate golf day at RACV Cape Schanck golf course, stalls at the Rye Market. Plans are in place for a special event at Balnarring Racecourse in January. Mornington Peninsula FFW raised $14,660.76 from the Inaugural annual Golf day challenge. It was a wonderful day with 104 golfers from all over, with great sponsorship and support. Interested in volunteering? Then click here Clothing and accessory drop off locations and contacts:
