Mornington Peninsula
ROSEBUD AND FRANKSTON NOW OPEN! Planning for Fitted for Work on the Mornington Peninsula began in March 2007, when an initial group of six volunteers formed the Mornington Peninsula Committee. This Committee created a network of supporters in the area, recruited prospective volunteers and raised funds. The Fitted for Work service and boutique is open and is available to clients from as far north as Frankston, south to Portsea and east to Hastings. There has been strong interest and support from local businesses, other not for profit organisations and the local community. Boutique fittings have been donated by Blue Illusion and Color Your Blues, and Rotary has helped out with boutique furniture. Fundraising activities in 2008 included a fashion parade sponsored by Blue Illusion, a corporate golf day at RACV Cape Schanck golf course, stalls at the Rye Market and a special event at Balnarring Racecourse in January 2009.
